unfortunately last year my remaining parent passed away leaving my only sibling as executor. i had always lived with this parent in the family home . saddly we do not get on at all. i have been left the home but have heard absolutely nothing from my sibling since a phone call shortly after to advise me to this effect and to arrange an evaluation on the property which i duly got carried out. am i entitled to know at what stage the proceeding are at? how do i get the deeds to my home ? can anyone advise me ? it is added stress on top of a lot of grief and any suggestions would be much appreciated

I don't think you should be so worred about obtaining the deeds. If the house was left to you, the deeds will be passed on when the estate has been processed. This can take quite a while depending on the work involved AND the competency of the solicitor, but nobody can re-write the will and take your home from you so you shouldn't stress about that.

Also, sorry about your loss.
