It's not easy but, in my experience, you should probably try to distance yourself from the recriminations and trust (hope?) that the process and, in particular, affidavits of means, help to arrive at an equitable resolution of matters. But I suspect that few people come out of judicial separation/divorce thinking that everything went well for them...
