evian,lake geneva

i am going to evian on lake geneva in 2 weeks time for 2 weeks with wife and 3 kids 15,11,10. anybody know off theme parks or ideas of what to do as we have not been to this area before (have hire car so driving no problem) would appreciate any tips

There are a large number of ski resorts in the area - you could take a drive to one of these and use the lifts to get up the mountains for a nice walk...or if you have good travel insurance you could rent mountain bikes for the kids

The Chamonix valley, for example, is about an hour and a half away.

If you go to Chamonix you could bring the kids to the 'Luge D'ete' - it's a dry toboggan run. Although I've just realised that it's almost 20 years since I was there so it might not be around anymore!
