I am in the process of selling my house, but due to bills being estimated i have arrears on my esb account which i have being paying of regularly. At the rate i have bein paying i would be clear of arrears by sept. My query is: If my sale goes through, can i bring my arrears to my new houes and new esb account and continue paying on the basis that it would be clear soon anyway, or do i have to have everything paid before i leave my old house and move to my new one? THanks

Yes, take a meter reading when you are leaving the old house and also in the new house. Then ring 1850 372 372. You can transfer you existing balance on to your new account (you will have the same account number), just tell them that on the fone.
