does anyone know the minimum distance an esb pole should be located from a house or where i can get the safety regs

i have an ESB pole in my back garden. ESB wont move it. does anybody know if there is a minimum distance these poles should be located from a house

Did you try the ESB? If you're not happy with it ask them to move it but you may have to pay for the move.
 
ESB stuck a pole on my site without even telling us. I have asked them to move it but was told we would have to pay in the region of €1700 to do it. My next avenue of attack is to present them my planning conditions that states that the esb line must be buried. So far its not moving so I have to make a case and send it to them.
 
Early stages of our self-buid, we had our first onsite meeting with our Architect on Saturday, he told us that the ESB poles must be 6m from the house.

Sue Ellen, you'll probably find that two threads were merged after I replied to Conaill hence I not seeing in his 2nd thread the info about the ESB not moving it. In my response I gave the full quotation of his inital post on the thread I replied to.

I noted he had started a 2nd thread on the same subject a few hours later than this one.

Sure what if a JCB was to knock into it and it fell over for example, obviously knocking into it in such a way that it fell away from your house of course !;):D
