Folks looking for some advice. I'm thinking of jumping ship from my current job for role in the ESB. I don' mind my current job and I'm fairly happy pay is decent with very good benefits travel card, family VHI, good pension all paid for etc (large foreign multinational). Pay would be similar maybe extra 5k not sure about benefits though but I presume ESB would be decent. I cant see myself going any higher in current role unless I want to work extra 20 hours a month and extra stress etc. The role with Esb is energy trading role with lots of scope on career advancement as it's relatively new. It would be big change going from working with banks/ financial services type companies for 15 years into a industry I haven' a clue about. What do you think?
