Hello All - I hope you can help me out a little, I was made redundant about 2 weeks ago and received no redundancy payment, I have applied for the Job seekers benefit and rent allowance and am being paid both now. I have been sending out CV's and managed to be offered a Job in a shop. My dilemma is that I will receive €210 for working 4 days (24 hours). However I am on following currently
€204 p/w (job seekers benefit)
€60 p/w (rent allowance)
and in the 210 I assume I dont pay tax. So the question really is if I take the position am I entitled to hold onto something of the allowances? If not am I entitled to anything else if I take the position. As it stands I would find it difficult to take the position.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
