Entitlements after being away for six months

I resigned from my job last August and went travelling abroad. I have now returned to Ireland and was wonderng what (if any) social welfare benifits i am entitled to such as back dated dole, PRSI refund.?. up to my resignation i had been working full time PAYE for six years

As you were out of the country (and not available for work here), you can't claim backdated jobseeker's allowance/jobseeker's benefit. If you haven't already done so, you should make a claim as soon as possible at your local Social Welfare Office.

Your Jobseeker's claim will be based on the PRSI paid during 2005 so you should be fully qualified as you were working fully then.
