Entitlement to Sick Pay if Living Outside the State?

Can anyone tell me if a person is entitled to be paid sick pay, while living outside the state?

An employee has been on sick pay for approximately 10 months now and for at least the last nine months has been living in Poland but uses a friend's (who also works for us) Irish address for all correspondence.

Are they entitled to claim this?

I also think they are claiming CB & ECS, would these also be claimable while on sick pay?

How do they supply the MC2 form from their Doctor each week if they are out of the Country?

Yes, a person can recieve Illness Benefit while abroad but they must notify the Dept. that thyey are going, etc.. They must be resident here to claim CB and ECS. If you have evidence that they are fraudulently claiming, then notify SW to this effect (anonymously, if you want).
