Entitlement query

Hi,

I am currently on unpaid leave from work following maternity leave. I was due to return to work in early December.

My mother in law was very kindly going to mind our two kids but due to illness she will no longer be able to do this.
Due to the cost of childcare, I will now have to leave my job.

I am wondering would I qualify for any social welfare entitlement now that I have to leave my job.

I have read the info supplied but am still uncertain about my circumstances.

Any clarity you could provide is much appreciated.

You could look at FIS Family Income Supplement and see if you qualify for that. You won't qualify for jobseekers benefit as you will not be actively seeking employment.
