Entitled to Tax Refund ?

I was unemployed for a month last year and didn't claim any benefits, would I be entitled to some sort of tax refund considering I didn't work the full 12 months?

You may have got a increase in your take home pay after your return to work. This is how the cumulative effect of the tax system (Cut off point and tax credits) works.

If you were unemployed but then returned to work then it's possible that your otherwise unused tax credits were used up anyway. However best to check with Revenue to have them review your affairs in case this did not happen and you are due a refund. What does your 2005 P60 say in relation to gross earnings and deductions?
