Entitled to FIS

Hi all,

Glad to have found this site. It's excellent. I have a question regarding the Family Income Supplement. I'm self employed and my earnings have absolutely plummeted this past year to the point we are severly struggling to make ends meet. I know self employed can't claim FIS on their own but my wife is doing a vtos course and was wondering would we qualify if she applied? Thanks for any information.
 
A VTOS course isn't considered employment so your wife won't qualify for FIS either, I'm afraid.

Thats what I thought.....however the CWO told her to apply for it and it had me puzzled.
