Engineering Job

I started my first job after completing a Diploma in Engineering & have been working in different manufacturing companies for the last 20 years. I am presently working in a semiconductor industry. I completed my B. Engg(Hons) in 2005 & I started looking for engineering jobs a year ago. Anywhere I apply I always get a reply that I dont have engineering experience. Is there anything else I can do to get an engineering job? Currently I've started studying Dip in Quality Mgmt (Lean systems). Any advice??

Spruse up your CV with your experience of the last 20 years in manufacturing surely there are enginnering type projects you were involved in throughout that time - this is engineering experince. A potential employer would surely want someone with such a diverse background and level of manufacturing experience. I am also working semi-conductor manufacturuing in Ireland.......unfortunately it is relativily small industry here and difficult to get specific jobs in it here.
