Hi

has anyone heard of this company from Newry. They were in Mallow at the weekend offering a fantastic deal on solar panels. The total price for 4sqm of tubes plus 300l ss tank plus controller = €2,500

what they said was they would deliver and install (additional 600) and that they would apply for the gratn for us. The installation would take place before we would be grant approved but that this would not cause any problem. They claim to be SEI approved but I don't see them on the list of approved installers

Also, don't know if their product is on their either - anyone know anything about them?

SEI have strictly forbidden companies on their list from applying for grants on customer's behalf. I would be very wary of them.

SEI warn people not to proceed with any work until grant approval is in place - why would you go ahead with this before grant ppproval anyway?
It only takes a week or two for grant approval ( grant payment is the long wait )
