Any recommendations for a solicitor who can advise on actions which would be most effective in supporting a claim for voluntary redundancy under a recently announced company scheme for someone who the company doesn't want to let go and who was moved from the job for which they were hired to a different job without consultation.
 
I'm not sure there is any law that supports a staff member who wants to leave under voluntary redundancy. It is rightly concentrated on those who are unfairly selected for redundancy. There is nothing to stop this individual resigning if they see fit.
 
A relative used O'Brien Ronayne in Dublin after wasting time with 2 others. Martina Larkin was excellent as was the barrister involved.

Deas, not about enforcing a right to leave, it's about positioning strategically to optimise the probability that an application to leave will have the maximum leverage.
