I am considering putting my house into the hands of louth county council as part of the Rental Accommodation Scheme when I emmigrate.
What I am wondering is, will I have to pay CGT on the income from the council being that I will have to bolster the payments from abroad to meet the mortgage on the property?

Re: CGT on council rent

Do you mean Income Tax rather than CGT. If you are renting to the Council rather than selling, I would think you mean Income Tax. CGT is only payable when you dispose of the property at a profit.
