Electrolux Dishwasher not drying dishes

Hi,

I have an Electrolux Dishwasher about 2 years now. It seems to go into drying time for the last 20 mins or so but even when I leave the dishes overnight, they still come out wet the next morning. Any idea on how to fix this?

I read somewhere that when the dishwasher has finished its cycle you should open the door and leave it ajar to let the steam escape, otherwise it has nowhere to go and condenses back onto your dishes as moisture. Since I used this tip on my own dishwasher my dishes have all dried perfectly (with my dishwasher they never did before).
 
I tend to put mine on as I go to bed - it's a Hotpoint Aquarius - and hit the "extra dry" button. By the time I open it up in the morning, everything is bone dry. If I put it on during the day, I will always open it to let everything dry
 
Even if I ope the door which I do most times, the knives come out with a rusty look on them and the delph is still not dry. Top of cups still have puddles, tuperware has drips all over it so it seems to make no difference.

There's no "extra dry" function on our dishwasher either.
 
There will always be some "puddling" on the tops of mugs in the dishwasher in my experience. This is because they have a well on the end of the cup, so the water really has nowhere to go (unless you have the super duper super dry function which most don't have). If this is the only thing not drying, I wouldn't worry too much. Get a bit of kitchen towel and wipe the offending tops before taking out.

Plastics in the DW don't dry too good, so I wouldn't stress about that either, paper towel again.

If it is the case that cutlery is dripping and the stuff on the bottom rack is really wet, then I think you might need to get someone to have a look at it for you.

Or, you know, a good old, reusable tea towel. (Save the planet)
 
Is it an eco wash, some of those have no dry option, the expect you to open the door and let the air circulate.
