Eircom shares-clarification.

I am trying to piece together what happened to the Eircom shares that many of us purchased many many years ago now.
Before they became Vodafone shares, did we get some sort of cash payment plus shares in Vodafone when they were taken over or am I dreaming this?
 
Yes. Cash for eircom portion and vodafone shares for mobile portion. I sold my vodafone shares for 1.49 sterling per share in 2005 and they are still around this price today - can't remember but these need to be nearly 2.80 sterling I think to break even.
 
Thanks crabbybear. That's what I was trying to figure. The cash for the Eircom portion plus £2.80 per share is the breakeven figure? So they need to rise by about £1.35 just to break even?
 
Vodafone shares from Eircom flotation

Anybody know what amount of Vodafone shares we got from the eircom flotation. I cant remember how much we purchased but would have applied for the max amount and got much less.
I would like to cash them in if they are worth anything?
