I have been asked to become a non-executive director of a family business based in the UK. I would be earning approx £12,000 per annum into a UK bank account.

However, I am living and working in Ireland and am currently earning around 20,000 euros per annum(PAYE). My husband is earning approx 60,000 euros per annum(PAYE).

I would like to find out what the implications of this would ? (tax etc)

All UK income as a resident in Ireland is taxable but you would be allowed a deduction for any UK tax paid under the Double Taxation Agreement with the UK. Depending on any deductions you would have to you and your spouses total income, I would think you would be taxed at 41% plus PRSI on the UK income less any credit for tax paid in UK but this would depend on your personal circumstances eg. tax credits and deductions allowed.
