education grant for sahm? no benefits

hi just wondering could anyone please help? i have been at home for the last 8 years bringing up my 3 children and want to get back to part time education. i have no entitlements because of husbands earnings( we just get by!) i have only second level education and have spotted a foundation course i would love to do only trouble is, i can't afford it! any ideas anyone?

Sorry for your difficulty.You could try your local vtos centre for a Post Leaving Cert course.You may be entitled to a grant from the VEC but an income limit applies as it also does to third level.Another idea would be to try FAS (www.fas.ie) as you are entitled to a training allowance (around 160/week+) irrespective of income for doing fulltime courses,but it must be your intention to return to work in this case I think.
