What specific question do you have or what issues are of concern to you?

In the short term I am looking into possibly buying a small holiday home abroad(150-200K) or alternatively selling my property and adding 150-200k to buy a house(currently in an Apt)
Either way that leaves 300-350K which I am looking to invest.
I was considering investing in either an ETFs or managed funds.
Briefly looking at the Tax implication for ETFs seems discouraging.
Effectively I need to make a decision in order to get a return on my savings

Any thoughts/opinions are welcome.

Do you anticipate working again/full time at a higher salary in your current field?

What's your ideal timeline to retirement- 5 years? 20 years?

Expect to go back working full time in Q4 latest Q1 2027 likely on a lower Salary as work life balance is a priority at this stage.
Ideal retirement timeline 5-10 years ideally at 60 years.

You have €950k in liquid assets, plus a mortgage-free home.

I think you could retire today if you keep your annual expenditure below €30k.

From a risk perspective, I would consider splitting the AIB funds into different providers so as to avail of Deposit Guarantee Scheme.

There is protection for "Temporary High Balances" in some circumstances such as redundancy payments, but it is time limited.
