DVD REgion 1 & 2 to settle a betQuick answer

Is it possible to have a dvd player that play region 1& 2 but not 3 or 4. I thought they played region 2 or were multi region ?

Anything is possible given the right player or modification! However perhaps you mean "are there region 1/2 only players on general sale?" in which case I'm not sure - usually they're either locked to a specific region (or perhaps combinations of region as you ask) or are multi-region in that they can read all media or can be switched between regions without limits.

Yes that is what I thought and believed. Cant find out the answer though - 20 euro riding on this.

Yeah - but the original question was whether or not it was possible to buy a player off the shelf that coped with two or more regions but wasn't actually region free.
