Hope someone can help!bought some films in Bulgaria whilst on hols.all will play on black diamond tv with inbuilt dvd,yet they wont play on a very expensive jvc dvd player, very jumpy etc, this is located where i want to watch them i.e the sitting room, please advise on what type of dvd player I need to watch these films.

Are they original/legitimate copies? Bulgaria uses SECAM rather than PAL (used here) or NTSC (US and handled by many modern players/TVs) in case that's of any relevance?

Thanks,no they are copies,so do you know of any player that plays them, what is difference between multi-region and multi-format?any help would be great.

Not enough detail posted - e.g. the makes and model details of your players, the type of recordable media (DVD-R or DVD+R etc.) on which the copies are made etc.
what is difference between multi-region
[1.10] What are "regional codes," "country codes," or "zone locks"?
and multi-format?any help would be great.
[4.3] What about recordable DVD: DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD+R?

depends on if the dvds are bootleg, if they are you may want to stick with the non-expensive dvd player.

So the real problem is playing cheap, bootleg, illegally copied films, not the DVD player. Could I respectfully suggest you edit the title of the thread to reflect this?
