duvets which is best for asthma

Looking to buy a good duvet hopefully in the sales, however as this is our first home, have little knowledge of what's best and since you can't return them, I have to be sure.

One of us has asthma, not sure which filling is best, down, feathers, artificial, want something decent but don't want to be woken by sneezing.

Any advice appreciated.

for someone who has asthma you should avoid anything with down or feathers as these will most likely only aggravate the asthma. You should go for synthetic filling and maybe one that is also hypoallergenic.
You should also get the duvet cleaned quite regularly in a professional cleaners to keep the dust and dust mites away.

dont put carpet down, wood floors are far better for asthma

I think you can also get special sheets for the bed that stops the mites & dust etc escaping from the bed.
