dud tickets, how to tell

hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this.

am purchasing a ticket privately for a concert, if its a ticketmaster ticket, can i ring thier hotline and give them the number to confirm if its genuine or not?

Also, if i get stung, if i got the sellers detials can he be reported or will the guards just say it was my own fault??

Guards prob wont do much. Ask the seller for ID, ih hes genuine he shouldnt have a problem.
If they are ticket master tickets, if you look at them under the light there is a ticketmastet ticketmaster ticketmaster print on them at an angle. and the hologram, make sure its not just silver paint. Ticketmaster prob wont confirm over the phone.
They could be genuine tickets but the buyer claims he never got them and so they are "cancelled" so please do ask for ID!

check at the ticket office, they will normally tell you whether they are genuine or not... however it is best if you say its not from an unautorized source they may decline to help...
