Hi all. I was wondering can anybody tell me how long does it usually take for the Senior Area Medical Officer to make their decision after the assessment.
Our son was assessed two months ago and we have heard nothing. Is this normal or is every case different?

hi there, my daughter went on the 17th jan for an assessment (i applied 5 dec) and i got my first payment and arrears on 28 march...think i got news she qualified for it beg march. i did keep phoning up to find out what was happening so maybe you could give that a wee try.

Thank you both for yer replies. We got news last week,after phoning 5 or 6 times, so maybe this works that he has been accepted and that we should get first payment plus arrears at the start of August.
