I have a son with autism. He attends a special school and goes to respite care once a week. Three years ago I was awarded DCA. It took over 9 months of waiting, running around and stress before I was awarded this badly needed payment but I thought that my struggle was over..
Now I've been hearing rumours that the DCA is being reviewed on a yearly basis and you have to go through it ALL again and that some people have lost their payment because their children have improved slightly. Has anyone else heard about this?? I'm seriously worried about this - my son depends on that money.
