Domain registration or renewal and website hosting

I've been with Register365 for years and I've had no issues with their services - domain registration/renewal, email, website hosting.

This year, I have domain names coming up for renewal as well as website hosting and SMPT, and I'd just like to query the cost I'm paying and compare it with others here.

A .com registration renewal (registered but not in use) is going to cost me €29.00.
My hosting is currently costing me €440 for two years and is up for renewal in July. So, €220 per year the last time. Not sure what they will look for in July.
SMTP access is costing €60 per annum and is up in July.
My main domain is a .ie and it's up in 2027. I paid €173 for four years.

All the above are inclusive of VAT.

Can I do better? I just feel that hosting has gone the way of electricity/gas/broadband/tv and is more competitive now.

Thanks.

Denis

On top of my head - check with e.g. blacknight.com; domain registration won't be much different (main cost is the registrar) but depending on your email needs and specifically webhosting you might be able to shave off a few euros.
Mind, given what you are currently paying, the effort and cost of migrating might not be worth the hassle.

Haven't shopped around in a while but I just paid €132.66 for a 3 year .ie , €46.62 for a 2 year .com and €24.54 for a 1 year .com with Irish Domains.

But, the trend on the other costs is on the up and up for last 2 years and I'd say the €220 isn't too ar off the mark.

How much email space do you get with these accounts? I'm on the basic hosting package with Register365k which offers 5Gb. This requires an occasional clean out.

Thanks.

D.

Blacknight for a hosting/email package
Or Hostinger

Blacknight more dependable and local, but Hostinger would be up there at a good level.

I use cloudflare for my .com registrations - cost me US$10.46 last renewal. May not always suit, as have to use their nameservers etc. But good for parked domains.
Blacknight.ie for .ie domains.
Blacknight and Hostinger for hosting.
