Next month I'll be receiving a USD cheque. I also have an upcoming requirement to have dollars cash.
I've read that it's possible to open a USD account with PTSB.
Wondering if I could open that account now with 1 dollar minimum balance, lodge the cheque to it when I receive it (takes up to a month to clear apparently) and then withdraw the dollar cash I need without having to convert to Euro. Will this work to avoid exchange rates and charges or will there be some charges associated with it?
