Do not post questions about Jobseekers' Benefit in this forum

Maybe it would be an idea to change the forum name to Welfare and State Assistance, so, to avoid any confusion.

It was originally "Welfare Payments" but someone suggested that benefits referred to a lot more like winter fuel, free bus etcs.

Do you think that "benefits" implies or suggests "Jobseekers' Benefit"

Benefits are PRSI based payments and therefore include Jobseekers Benefit.

Welfare payments or Social Welfare would suggest the full range
 
The distinction between the two forums seems to be a bit artificial, to be honest. There are lots of people, like me, who know little about benefits/assistance/allowances and I'd imagine that the current forum split is unhelpful: what is the purpose of the split? Maybe, from a moderators point of view it would be easier to have two forums (to cope with the deluge of queries that's coming) named thus:

1. Redundancy & Unemployment
2. State Benefits and Allowances (NOT for Redundancy & Unemployment)

The latter could then cover Child/Dental/Optical/Rental benefits/allowances.
