Do I need to submit receipts for mortgage drawdown

Apologies if this is a silly question. I'm a first time applicant. Do I need to keep & submit receipts to bank from suppliers, kitchen fitter etc to the bank when drawing down mortgage?
 
Just going through this at the moment. The procedure for us is that our engineer needs to sign off on works completed for the bank and the drawdown amount for those works. I submit details of payments to him and he inspects and signs off accordingly; then the bank will transfer funds. In our case, works had to be completed before the drawdown would be issued, which means you are always funding a certain amount, depending on the payment terms of your supplier.
