Do i need to make tax return by end Oct?

Hi. I have rented out my NPPR for the first time since Feb 2009, i have been gathering my receipts etc planning to make return. However, i down loaded form 12 and it seems to refer to the year 2008. I intend to contact accountant after weekend, but curiosity got the better of me and i would like your opinions. Do i need to make return for 2009 by end of this month or should i do 2009 before Oct 2010?
 
If the only reason you have to file a tax return is because of the rental income received from the property (i.e. you have no other non-PAYE income etc) then you are not required to file a tax return by the end of this month. Tax Returns for 2008 are due by the end of this month. 2009 is the first return you will prepare and this will be due this time next year.
 
Thanks for that Breninio. That makes since as i won't get my P60 from work until next February / March and i expect i would need that to make return.
