have registered a company name. Thing is, although I registered it with the CRO I have decided to do something else. Will the revenue ask questions as to why I have not declared any tax and have a company registered in my name? I also have the van advertised with the company name. It was a last minute decesion to sub contract my service, instead of supplying the goods. I will now be invoicing companies for my service.

Registering a Business name does not mean you have a 'company'. If you have registered ' Joe Murphy t/a Murphy Van Hire' the 'legal' entity is still you.

If you have registered a Company .. Joe Murphy Limited, then thats a different matter..

I suspect that all you have done is register the Name which does not alter tax status which is you.
