Divorce: have not recieved correspondence from their solr and no bill from our solr

Hey a lawyer, can you answer this for me.

My partner's divorce was finalised October 2008.

As yet we have not received a copy of any correspondence from his ex wifes solicitors (ever) and have not received a quote or a bill from our solicitors.

Recently we asked him for original divorce absolute and he got nasty and told us we had to pay our bill first.

I have written to him requesting the bill but as yet no response.

I would appreciate any insight you might have.
