Bit of a long shot ... but it would be great if anyone could recommend a place.

Packages are expensive, so hoping to secure cheap accommodation first and buy the Park tickets on the day(s) ....

Thanks!

I assume 'cheap' & 'nearby' are mutually exclusive ?

We were there a few years ago and stayed in one of the hotels near the resort. The only reason to be in that hotel was to be near the resort, so even though it was not a resort hotel, it's sole "raison d'etre" was resort visitors.

We plan to bring the car, so it wouldn't need to be that near maybe.

I suppose like any of us when planning a trip like this, the ideal scenario would be to hear from someone who would recommend doing exactly what they did :)

In the meantime, it's back to surfing the infinity of the web ......

We stayed in Paris & took the RER out to Disney. Worked very well. That said, we'd never go to Disney again. Overrated, overpriced, cynical and not a patch on other theme parks we've been to.

We've done euro disney several times and more recently we have stayed in apartments near Val d'europe. Yuo can get the RER or the disney bus still to the parks from here. We have found them to be a good alternative to the disney hotels and allows you some ' disney free' time !! Also you are right beside a large shopping mall with restaurants and large supermarket ( Auchan) if you wish to do self catering. Some french friend have recently informed us, that the park tickets are cheaper if you buy them at least 2 weeks prior to visiting the park,so it may be better to purchase them on line before you travel. We bought them last aug at the park and found them to be more expensive than if we had to purchase in advance. Travelling out from Paris is also something that we have done and works well, but probably only for a one day visit to the park.

Hi Manuel,
We went to Euro Disney for the last 2 years
Stayed in Adagio Aparthotel (self catering) in Val d'europe swimming pool on site. The Number 50 bus brings you to the parks for free and runs frequently.
We have a family of five and bought annual tickets as it worked out cheaper and fast pass included plus 20% discount on all meals and purchases on site.
Enjoy your visit.
