Basically are they easy to put in or is a plumber reccommended?

If you have an existing water pipe feed with the relevant connection (usually only cold water - check your machine spec) and also an in situe waste outlet then it's a doddle.
Otherwise you need a plumber.

Hi woodie.there was a washing machine in the place before.so im thinking water connection, drain pipe and elec socket is all is needed???its my mums and she was asking if i can make it to hers and it wouldnt take long ill have alook as she needs it by saturday but time is my enemy at the mo.thanks.

If there was a w/mc there beforehand, then all you need is there, 20mins including unpacking

and hey, it's your mum, if it took all day isn't she worth it!

ill give it a go alright just time to get there.thanks all.

If it's only replacing a spot where there was an existing washing machine then you "should" have no problems. If the dishwasher is new they you will have all the kit needed. If it's not, it may be worth getting a new connector pipe from teh local hardware or plumbing supplier. But give it a go as DGOBS said 20mins and she's worth it!
