I would like if someone may be able to answer this question for me. I am in receipt of Disability allowance at a reduced rate but since last week my payment has been reduced by the full amount of E8.30 even though i do not receive the full amount of disability allowance of E196.00 . I telephoned disability allowance section and asked why this was so and the young lady i spoke with told me that even though i was only getting a reduced amount that i would still be stopped the full E8.30 as if i were getting the full amount. I find this very difficult to understand and mentioned this to her, she informed me that this is the way it is done.
Can anybody shed some light on this for me as i find this is most unfair and i think it should only be reduced according to the reduced amount i am getting.
