Did the budget make changes to S23 allowances

Did the last budget make changes to S 23 allowances? I don't earn over 100k, so are there any new changes from last budget to S 23 allowances. Even Revenue seem confused! Is there higher USC and Prsi for rental income under this scheme?

Section 23 allowances against income tax were unaffected by the Budget.
PRSI and USC are not income tax so one pays that on rental income ,whether or not one has section 23.

But now that you say even Revenue are unsure you make me unsure - how are they unsure and of what ?

Next time you ring up and you get the old head scratching routine ask the individual to put you on to someone in there who actually knows their job,I am fed up to the back teeth of dealing with these incompetents who haven't a blasted clue what they are bleating on about.
