Democratic Decline

This years report on Freedom in the World from Freedom House makes for disturbing reading.

They find that Global Freedom has declined for the 20th year in a row with the United States, Bulgaria and Italy experiencing this years biggest decline.

For those interested in such things it makes for interesting reading.

Interesting report. Ireland scores highly at 98 out of 100. Finland scores 100/100.

Meloni in Italy had her judicial reform referendum defeated, my guess is that will add some positive back to Italy.

Interestingly, to me anyhow, is that being part of NATO is no assurance of freedom with several Balkan states 'partially free' and Turkey, 'not free' at all.

Africa and Asia look dismal. Which covers estimate 75% of worlds population.
