Is it possible to use weatherclad paint instead of the typical decking stain or oil . The decking is new and has not been previously painted . Thanks
I used Cuprinol deck stain that comes in a range of colours. We used an oil based wood paint on the panels. Looks so much better than traditional decking stain. Is it possible to use weatherclad paint instead of the typical decking stain or oil . The decking is new and has not been previously painted . Power wash and allow to dryHow do you prep the deck for the staining?
As in if it’s wet/dirty/both?
Thanks.
What @Salvadore said, but also take the time to examine the decking, replace any boards that need replacing, re fixing any loose boards and give a light sanding (which needs to be cleaned off) before applying the oil / stain. How do you prep the deck for the staining?
