Deadline for tax settlement on sale of site

Hi,

Just posting on behalf of a friend who sold a site of land before Christmas. She only got the letter back from the solicitor into January and is wondering when the deadline is for settlement of CGT (was told by someone that it was Jan 31st and is in a bit of a panic as she is still getting valuations etc together).

Any advice would be appreciated,

You will find the relevant dates [broken link removed]under CGT payments & returns. If the sale was in the period 01/12/09 to 31/12/09 then the due date was 31/01/10.

PS any chance of a ticket for Croker tomorrow....

So she was told correctly. She went into the tax advisor and has to go dig up some info about the value of the site on acquisition of the site etc. Seems like there was a delay in getting the confirmation letter back from the solicitor so her best bet is to see when exactly the sale is deemed to have been made (presumably on the sign-over)..
