Dazzling lights in oncoming traffic

Either way full or dipped is dangerous to oncoming traffic and shouldn't be allowed
You beat me to it.

The off-side headlight, dipped or full, is (or should be by law) focussed across the car towards the near-side margin. The near-side headlight is focussed straight down the road along the near-side margin. This is yet another reason why pedestrians, including those wheeling bicycles, push-chairs, prams, etc should keep to their off-side facing on-coming traffic in the absence of a foot-path.

Dumb-dumb Séan or Síle doesn't know this or doesn't care, and the Guards won't take action anyway, even if they're not on strike.

The ´contact lenses’ for headlights help but aren’t great. The landy was easy changed. We had another car once that was also easily switched.

My MG ZS has auto dipped beams for on-coming traffic but occasionally it doesn't react, or goes back to main beam when you are following traffic. Very annoying and dangerous.
Some cars do this better than others, clear windscreen and no condensation in the colder weather around the camera is important,

I was once driving on an N road at night in the wet and was disoriented by the behaviour of a van coming against me. The van driver, wanting to turn right had decided that his best bet was to drift diagonally in front of me, across my lane and onto the hard shoulder such that we passed with him to my left and other oncoming traffic to my right. If I hadn't known that stretch well it could have gone badly wrong.
