Hey all,

I am in the process of wall mounting a Sony 40 inch LCD. I will require 5 metre scart leads. In order to keep the cost down i was wondering if it is possible to link the Decoder to the Dvd via a short 1 metre sart lead and then link either the Decoder/ DVD to the TV via the longer scart lead. Considering the price fo the Monstre Scart Leads i would be saving over €100.

I can recall the video player used to be connected to teh TV like this but i dont know is it possible with scart leads. Both the DVD and the Decoder have 2 Scart sockets so there must be soem reason for them?

Thanks for all and any assistance.

You should be able to run from the decoder to the DVD and then output from the DVD to the TV with no cable direct drom the decoder to the TV. Depending on the model it may be neccessary to have the DVD switched on for the TV to work. There should be two scart sockets on the DVD but they may not both be output sockets.

Normally one is marked I/O and can be used as an input or an output.

Cheers high flier, im itching to get back home and se if that is the case. Would make life alot easier.
