Creosote indoors

Yes, you can safely use creosote on wood inside your home.

But you'd be absolutely bonkers to so so! Do you know that this stuff smells very strongly, that this smell stays for an awfully long time, and disappears very s-l-o-w-l-y?

Try the modern wood preservatives instead, such as the Cuprinol range, available at any good DIY shop.
 
Unfortunately it's already been done, not by me...
I just want to know will it poison us!

No, it won't poison you merely be being in the background, but if you have young children or pets, try to ensure they do not come into frequent contact with it.
