Credit check on additional credit card holder?

Hi, I would like to have my partner issued with an additional card on my existing Tesco credit card account. He had a few financial problems in the past but nothing in the last six or seven years. Would he be subject to a credit check? I have had no problem with my credit card. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Dee52,

The Bank should not process a credit check with the ICB as the credit on the card is offered to you. You are ultimately responsible for any balance outstanding.
