Horrendous idea or just really terrible idea?

Does anyone know what would be the chances of getting a CC without having a job? Would it be extremely difficult or downright impossible? And, if possible at all, would you only be able to get one with a very high interest rate?

I have never had a credit card before (when I was working) and I don't know if my credit rating is good or bad.

Practically impossible I would imagine, any provider would want to see an income source.

What about getting an O2 Prepaid Visa Card - available from any O2 shop.

It is great for online and shop purchases.

You just can't spend what you do not have.
