So I had a credit card that I lapsed a few payments on and now have closed and am just paying off the final amount with AIB each month.
In the moment of feeling so awful for it happening I agreed to 200 euros a month which is crippling me. Rent and bills are so incredibly high I literally have 1k gone from my account as soon as I get paid. I am only a secretary too, my wages are seriously low!
I have certainly halved the amount (which was 2600k to begin with) within the last 7 months or so, which is fantastic, but wondered is there anyway of lessening the payments each month.
Is it worth even the call? Would they consider halving it maybe?
I am so awful at this kind of thing, but it means eating into my overdraft every month. I would love to get everything paid back as it is all I owe, and I suppose small in the grand scheme of things, but a bloody worry every month.
