council house purchase loan

just got approved last week for 185000 for house loan from coco. sent them details of property id like to purchase. they said they woud send out an engineer to look at property. was just wondering has anybody gone through the route of buying a private house with the coco. what are the steps from approval to finish cant seem to find any info on this thanks

Hi Gary,
I'm just wondering how long you were in your job before you applied for this scheme?

I've enquired about this and DCC told me unless I'm in my job a minimum of 2 years they won't even look at my application.

Hi just saw this thread and was wondering how it all went? I'm interested in this scheme myself so looks like possibly a good option for a single person on a modest salary.... Great if I could get some feedback.. Curious about how come the council sent out their engineer too?
