Coughlan Associates based in Mullingar.

Has anyone used this company or know of their work? Would love to know, please PM me if you have any information. Thanks in advance.
 
You've had advice on Derek Murphy Architects in this thread http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?t=130035

In it you've seen how I went to their website and searched the online planning inquiry service in one local authority regardinging one of their jobs.

Why don't you apply this to your inquiry about Coughlan Associates and talk directly to any referrees you may discover i.e. occupiers of their buildings?

This gives you a direct source, as any advice you get here is likely to be anecdotal unless one of their clients sees your post here and replies and that's unlikely.

Thanks for your reply. Coughlan Associates don't have a website and I've tried the planning enquires website and I can't seem to find anything (re either of these architects - not sure if you need more information re the actual developments to find them on there)?

I do have the names of some actual developments they have worked on however these are the ones they have choosen to give me - so I assume they are also the ones they are proud of?

I appreciate it's a long shot asking on here however you never know? And I wouldn't take any information I got on here at face value but it would just add to the other investigations I hope to make.

This whole area of building a house is not something I have any knowledge on and I also do not know anyone who has used a particular architect or builder to get a personal recommended - which of course would be the best route to take.

But thanks genuinely for your advise and I am taking that on board.
 
I've responded to you in the other thread about your inability to find the information on dlrcoco - its a tangle there's no doubt but its there.

Also dlrcoco is for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Co Co applications only

Their work seems to take forever to find with Google although it seems they're on every business listing page you can think of.

I'm not sure they have a great track record in private houses as the limited selection above seems centred on commercial developments and schools

Perhaps they are genuinely low key and word of mouth, but the lack of a website to at least learn a bit about the company is a drawback.

Was there some particular reason you chose these firms?
