Hi! Does anyone have any idea of the cost of a 40q mete strip foundation. We have been quoted 20k! This seems enormous!

40 cubic meters of 30n concrete might cost @90m3=3600
sheet of a393 steel @70euro 4.8x2.4= nearly 12sq meters say even 8 sheets=560
Digger for a day 500 euro with good man. Second man at 300 euro for day=300 Total=5k.
Is there major problems on site? Is the full strip rock. Or is it slow in the high court and senior council are digging by hand at 2.5k per day plus outlay.

DCD does that include floor slab, insulation etc.
Blackbababa. What you seem to be asking is what the cost of the foundation and floor slab is. If you are unable to work out the exact coat of materials you need to employ a person to do so.
Nobody here could give you a price on this because there are to many variables relating to each individual house. Your Architect/QS could give you break down.
It is both dangerous and foolish to be messing around with such important matters.
I am coming to the end of a build. Foundations slab etc cost me 33500euro because there was extra work needed. Your job could be a lot cheaper or more expensive depending.
Good advise and expertise is not cheap but cheaper in the long run. Good luck with your project.
